Collection: Günther Uecker (1930)
Günther Uecker is a renowned German artist and one of the co-founders of the Zero group. Uecker and the Zero artists strove to break traditional artistic conventions and explore new avenues of artistic expression. They experimented with light, movement and materials to create a new visual language. Uecker himself is known for his nail paintings, in which he hammers nails in regular patterns onto wooden panels or canvases. These works create a fascinating visual impact and symbolize the desire for liberation from fixed structures and conventions.
